We are happy to announce that Catrina Christensen is returning as our swim instructor for the 5th year. Classes will begin on Monday, June 28th.
Sign-ups will be held at the Dunewood bay beach on the first day of
class, Monday, June 28th at 10:00 am. Dunewood swim classes may be purchased on a weekly and/or monthly basis and may be paid on-line by using the Paypal link on the website.

Resident
$50 per week
$200 per month

Non-resident
$60 per week
$240 per week
Classes begin at 10:30 am, Monday through Friday, start with age 3 and
run through age 13. They are 30 minutes in length. In addition to classes, we
are planning the following activities:

*Swim-A-Thon to benefit the Fire Island Lighthouse*
Saturday, July 31st from 11:00 am to 1:00 at the bay beach
All are welcome to attend
Donations are taken for each lap completed
Area vendors will donate and there will be a raffle

Your community may have people who would like to participate in a 5K Walk event to benefit breast cancer research and wellness. The event will take place in Ocean Beach on Saturday, June 14 (rain or shine). The organization Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center has arranged for discounted ferry tickets on the 8:00 am ferry from Bay Shore to Ocean Beach. The event beneficiary is Southside Hospital and Breast Cancer Help, Inc. Participants are asked for a contribution of $75 and will receive a t-shirt..

End of Summer Dunewood Beach Bash

We Won! The first game was played on Friday July 13th a lucky day for us. Final score was 6-4 Dunewood.

The FI Association Annual Meeting will be held on July 28th in Ocean Beach, at 11 A.M.

Corps of Engineers reps may discuss the Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point, Reformulation Study, and alternative beach and dune system sand replenishment alternatives. Dunewooders should attend and express their support for the FIA position.
