This budget amount, and the corresponding taxes levied against Dunewood homeowners, is equal to last year’s budget. If the bonding for construction of new firehouse in Fair Harbor is issued during 2010 budget year, approximately $11,640 will be taken out of the Dunewood Fire District reserve funds to help pay for the additional cost.
ELECTIONS
The Dunewood Fire District annual election for Commissioner will be completed no later than 12/8/09. Commissioner Fisher is standing for a five year term. Any additional nominations will be on the ballot along with voting instructions which will be mailed to all community households on 11/24/09. Anyone who wishes to be on the ballot must notify Norman Levine by 11/19/09 in writing addressed to 16874 Isle of Palm Drive, Delray Beach, FL 33484 or by e-mail to levineinsurance@aol.com. A candidate for Commissioner must be a Dunewood resident, over 21 years old and never convicted of arson.
